I know summer is almost over...but since it's still hot outside and my sea-side vacation to Tenerife is coming up in 10 days :), I can't help thinking about sandy, sunny beaches, turqouise waters... and swimwear!

My London Vintage Finds

I know I was long overdue with this post...but finally it's here! Please enjoy my wonderful vintage treasures acquired in London, mostly Spitalfields Markest in the East End.

A lovely fuchsia cardigan (lambs wool & angora), a wonderful summer dress and two cute little leather belts...Was not intending to wear this outfit as such and only put it together for taking a pic, but ...to be honest...I think I got something really nice here and I'm most def gonna wear it this autumn.


Couldn't have left London without them, my ugly little Oxford shoes...and then there was this gorgeous Aigner scarf that I had to take home with me as well :)


And I also found those amazing little treasures smiling back at me on a Spitafields table filled with junk and vintage wonders at the same time! Viva Chile!

Style Icon - Victoria B

I really, really like Victoria's glamour style and the feminity she brought back into the real world, off the catwalks.

Wrote the below for a Glamour magazine contest and won a really cool price :)

Victoria Beckham reprezinta cu adevarat feminitatea, eleganta si glamour-ul care lipsesc sau devin tot mai rare in lumea nebuna de azi, in care doamnele si domnisoarele de mult prea multe ori uita sa fie cu adevarat femei si feminine. Victoria a readus parca clasa si stilul in lumea modei de dincolo de podiumuri, vitrine si reviste glossy, unde inca mai intalnim feminitate, ea a readus stralucirea din nou in lumea reala si din nou in viata de zi cu zi: pe stadionul de fotbal, la shopping, in drumul spre scoala al baietilor ei...

O femeie superba, tot timpul aranjata, tot timpul sic, cu outfit-uri perfect potrivite care "urla" glamour si sex appeal din fiecare centimetru, cu tocurile cui nelipsite, care deja au consacrat-o, o femeie cu extraordinar de mult stil, care de fiecare data te face sa te gandesti: WOW, how does she do it? Ce este cu adevarat fascinat este ca dincolo de zambetul rece si perfectiunea spre care tinde ca stil vestimentar, Victoria este o femeie normala, cu defecte ca oricare dintre noi, o personalitate calda si placuta, o mama iubitoare si o sotie extrem de devotata, deloc aroganta sau infumurata. Un interviu televizat cu ea, zambind si glumind degajat, iti poate schimba complet parerea despre omul Victoria B. Este impresionat cand te poti juca cu moda, cu impresiile pe care le lasi, cu imaginea pe care ti-o creezi, fara sa iti pierzi insa identitatea, iar ea o face intr-un mod extraordinar.

Pe langa fashion icon, mamica si sotie de fotbalist, Victoria este o femeie de afaceri de succes. Daca majoritatea nevestelor de fotbalist se potrivesc perfect in cliseul "tocatoarelor de bani", Victoria nu s-a multumit cu un astfel de statut. Ambitia si personalitatea ei puternica si complexa nu au lasat-o sa stea in umbra sotului, iar rezultatele si succesul dobandit, dovedesc ca a facut alegerea corecta.

Si nu in ultimul rand, Victoria confirma zicala cum ca in spatele unui barbat puternic, se afla intotdeauna o femeie puternica, ea fiind cea care prin dibacia ei mediatica si talentul stilistic a facut din David un sex simbol mondial, dandu-i totodata stabilitatea si sprijinul necesar unei cariere istorice in fotbal.

Pentru toate acestea o admir, o respect si imi place enorm the one and only Victoria Beckham!

LOVE My New Geeky Glasses!

I admit I could not stand them in the beginning...I'm wearing glasses since the 5th grade, so for me it wasn't funny or a fashion statement to put huuuuuge glasses on, I'd rather wear contacts...but now, after putting them on and on and on, I adore them! They're goofy and geeky, but kind of sexy in a strange way as well :)

One of my London souvenirs :)...and must haves, of course! And most important of all: I got them for 1GBP at Primark!

Stripes, Jeans & Coco Chanel

Finally got my Amazon order on the life of Coco Chanel by Edmonde Charles-Roux !!! So I got to take my new favorite book to the park and spend a relaxing afternoon sunbathing and getting to learn Coco better :)
Since it was an extremly hot afternoon (35 degrees), I chose a comfy and airy outfit: shorts are by Bershka, striped top, flower brooch and earrings are H&M (love, love, love!), canvas shoes are from Leonardo and my wonderful green bag is a very special 70's vintage piece I got from my dear auntie.

Pale Pink is my no#1 favorite! What's yours?

I somehow never had a favorite color so far, but this year pale pink stole my heart :) I love this dress with white and browns and have also combined it with snake print shoes and fishnet tights! The dress is no name, found it by coincidence in a place I would never ever think to go shopping (if you're from Bucharest, drop me an email and I'll tell you the "shocking" truth :)), boots are Zara, sweater is from Vero Moda and scarf is from Tonka. And...I was wearing my controversial white tights again, you either love them or you hate them, there's no way to remain neutral!

And this...this is a wonderful, little shop I found in London and that's how my little chique boutique would look like one day :)

„Vintage Shopping in London” ...or „A Vintage Lover’s Paradise”

Vintage Fashion is definitely more IN than ever, especially for those who want to add that special „something” to their style and make an outfit uniquely chic. Being dressed like everyone else is not so cool is it? Hitting the clubs and meeting your dress-clone from Zara or Mango is not something we wanna go thru, do we?...well, by adding a vintage twist to your look, you’ll be one of a kind for sure :)

Being one of the most influential fashion „temples” across the globe, London just had to be as generous in regards to vintage offers as it is with everything else, since there is really nothing you can’t find there! I had the great pleasure to stroll across a few of London’s vintage venues, experience that I definitely want to share :) Vintage shops in London are much more specialized, organized and generous in terms of the offer, than the ones we have in Romania, BUT it all comes at a price, you won’t find real bargains (compared to prices we have here!), dress prices average from 15 to 25 GBP and you will be able to find almost any age and any style: evening dresses from the 50s, flower power from the 70s and party dresses from the 80s…they have it all! I also got to admire real treasures by Dior or Lanvin, but for the moment let’s just say they are out (waaaaay out) of my budget-league!
